Washing with cold water saves almost 90% of energy used compared to washing with hot. On Earth Day, Energy Upgrade California threw cold wash parties at laundromats across the state, spreading awareness that washing on cold saves loads of energy.

Energy Upgrade California is a state-wide initiative to lower carbon emissions by inspiring Californians to use less energy.
